With Love, From Ocampo!

When Dr. Patschke returned to UPES, she found a HUGE box
which was mailed from Argentina!

There were many surprises inside the special box!

The friends, parents, students, and staff of Ocampo
shared special items with our school!

Many were hand-made!

Our 4th grade students had sent Ocampo "hands" made from
construction paper with special messages!
The Ocampo students returned messages on these adorable
"feet!"  How cool is this!

They even wrote messages in English!

Thank you Ortiz de Ocampo Kids!

Parents from Ortiz de Ocampo made these
beautiful "Dream Catchers" for the staff of UPES.
Dr. Patschke has a special one at home that is
made with American colors of red, white, and blue!
What talent!!

Here's the beautiful message from the parents which was written
as a thank you for the Administrative Exchange experience!

How lovely!

Dr. Patschke, Broccoli Bob, and Gloria the Zanahoria Return!

Dr. Patschke had many things to
bring back to the USA!

Notice the green plastic wrap on some of her suit cases!

Airport security recommends this special safety
measure on domestic flights in Argentina.

Patricia and Sra. Carrizo took Dr. Patschke to the airport!
It was very hard for everyone to say "good-bye!"

Broccoli Bob and his new friend Gloria were really excited to
get to the USA!  Gloria can't wait to meet all the kids at UPES!

Here they are flying home from Bueno Aires, Argentina to Houston, TX!

Once again, United Airlines employees
LOVE Broccoli Bob as well as Gloria!!

COMMUNITY CHOIR IN
 JESUS MARIA, CORDOBA, ARGENTINA!

Dr. Patschke can't wait to share news of this
group of musicians with Mrs. Kinney, our Music Teacher!

Above is one of the Ortiz de Ocampo families!!

As a very special treat to the end of a beautiful thee week adventure in Argentina, Sra. Carrizo
took Dr. Patschke to listen to the harmonious voices of a community choir!

Listen in to the magic that music brings to the hearts of all!

A Final Celebration of Friendship at Ocampo!

By the end of Dr. Patschke's visit to Argentina, she had transformed into a
a "true" Ocampo Principal!  Complete with a gaucho hat, beautiful poncho, decorative scarf
and many pins of pride!

The final day at Ortiz de Ocampo was wonderful!  Yet, it was
very emotional to say "good-bye" to all Dr. Patschke's new friends!

This student's family owns a salami shop!  His parents treated Dr. Patschke, Sra. Carrizo,
and many of their friends to a delicious lunch!

The final day at Ocampo was a very special day for the USA!

It was the 4th of July!

Dr. Patschke gave all the children in Ortiz de Ocampo a special gift from UPES!
Each child received a miniature US Flag and a Red, White and Blue pencil!
What a GREAT way to celebrate the 4th of July!

The staff and students of Ortiz de Ocampo prepared a special assembly
to thank Dr. Patschke for visiting Argentina!
They expressed gratitude, kindness, love, and great appreciation
not only for the time that Dr. Patschke spent with them,
but also to all the students at UPES for being
their global partners in learning!

Dr. Patschke tried to hold back the tears!  Their messages were
so touching and heartfelt!

In the photo below, Dr. Patschke is sitting with the Superintendent of
Susana's school, Patrica, John, and Florencia!

Such beautiful moments.....children's smiles are magical!

Dr. Patschke presented Ortiz de Ocampo with the amazing quilts which were made
by UPES 4th graders in May!

Everyone was surprised!  Parents, students and staff admired the artwork done
by the children at UPES! "....so beautiful..." was stated again, and again!

Dr. Patschke was asked to sign a special book that Ortiz de Ocampo keeps.
When they have important programs or visitors, they keep a record for the
school history.
Dr. Patschke signed their book and wrote a message to the children,
parents, and staff!  UPES will be remembers for many years to come!

There were many hugs on the final day!

Everyone was so proud of the relationships that we had made together!

Sra. Carrizo LOVES their quilts!

Sophia walked out with Dr. Patschke on the last day and we were
all greeted by the school dog!  Such a great puppy!
He came to say good-bye also!!

On the playground, many Ortiz de Ocampo students
shared well wishes with Dr. Patschke.

UPES and Oritz de Ocampo both have wonderful
places to learn!  Each school cares about children
as their number ONE priority!

Ortiz de Ocampo,
Dr. Patschke is PROUD to be your
International Principal!

Santiago's Work in Argentina!

This is Susana Carrizo's son, Santi.
He works at a company in Jesus Maria, Argentina that processes
beans and other foods for exporting!
Santiago went to college in Cordoba after high school.
He is an Agriculturalist.

Santi works long hours and loves his job!

Many people in Argentina work in the mornings, have a "siesta" in the afternoon, and then
return to work for an evening shift!

  Santi works all day long!

The next time you eat baked beans at a picnic or enjoy chick peas on your salad,
realize that they might have come from Argentina!

"Thanks for showing us all where you work Santi! We hope you come to the USA to
visit our farms and other agriculture businesses soon!"
