Homes in Argentina

Just like in the USA, homes in Argentina come
in many different sizes and styles!

There are cities, towns, suburban, and country areas!

There was not a "typical" home or style of house during my travels,

I did notice that the people of Argentina love dogs!
Almost every home I visited had two things, 1) an ASADO, 2) a dog.

Some houses were tucked into beautiful nature filled neighborhoods!

Other homes were a part of a busy community or city!

Let's visit the inside of a house....

The foyer (above) and the dining room table are decorated so nicely.
In this home, the artist of the paintings is the grandmother!

Below is a Dad named, Carlos!  He's making asado for the evening meal!

Mmmmmmm!  Delicious!!

This is Dad's office!  Just like some of our families, Carlos works in an office that is attached
to his home.  This allows him to spend more time with his wife and children!

At the end of the day, it's fun to share a meal and great stories with friends!

When Dr. Patschke traveled to Salta, everyone on the road trip stayed in small cabins.

Visitors were greeted by friendly dogs!

Cute huh?

The cabins shared a pool and outside deck area.  Too bad we were there in the winter!

In the morning, it was about 40 degrees!  That's much too cold for a swim in the pool!

Check out these pretty curtains with stenciled cactus and llamas!

Below is the inside of one of the cabins.  This area was for sleeping, eating, and
television viewing!

Here's one of the upstairs bedrooms.

This is the kitchen in the cabin.
Sra. Carrizo is preparing hot water to enjoy with her Matje.

Of course, there's one more adorable puppy dog who lives at the cabins!

Impressive Art at Ocampo!

Juan Castro is the head maintenance person at Ortiz de Ocampo!

Take a close look at the colors and designs behind these smiling people!

Not only does Juan take great care of the school, staff, and children,
 he is also an Artist!

Juan works with the children to paint
beautiful murals in the playground and garden!

How awesome are these paintings!!  Amazing!!
Great work Juan!
To everyone who painted, congratulations on a beautiful mural!

Everyone at General Francisco Ortiz de Ocampo is very proud of their school!

Special helpers like Juan Castro make
Ortiz de Ocampo a magical place to learn!

This sounds similar to UPES!

Wow...what a perfect match!

UPES + Ocampo!!

Vacation! Carlos Paz, Argentina!

UPE Kid Question:  Where do kids in Argentina like to go on vacation?

There are many beautiful vacation spots in the country of Argentina!

The lovely town of Carlos Paz is one of the popular vacation spots for many
people who live near Jesus Maria.

As you can see from the summer time photos above, families enjoy
swimming, boating, and other outdoor activities
in the summer at this lake beach resort village.

We visited Carlos Paz in the winter.
It was fun to see the town.

How about this silly guy who was hanging out with Sophie!

This town reminded me of the boardwalk area in Wildwood, NJ.

Dr. Patschke thought that Mr. Mountz might like to see that
the police in Carlos Paz use motorcycles!

There were lights, fun, and tourist shops everywhere!

When coming to this town, visitors can enjoy many different
 restaurants and evening shows.

We took time to enjoy ice cream and coffee in Carlos Paz!

Gifts from the USA for Sra. Carrizo!

During the time that Sra. Carrizo visited UPES,
she met many people and touched many hearts!

Below are photos of several of the gifts
that were sent her way by people in the UPE community.

These items are now cherished tokens of her USA friends, and their love.
