The "Festival Nacional de Doma y Folklore" is an annual event which is held every January!
It is a huge affair which raises money for the local schools.
The three photos below are from years past.
People travel to Jesus Maria every year for this event, from all over Argentina and beyond!
All the schools who profit from the festival contribute parent volunteers to help organize and run the activities for 10 days every summer (remember...January is Argentina's summer!)
The dedication of the Jesus Maria community to the children of their town is impressive!

UPE Pride!
Dr. Patschke was recognized by the festival board of directors!
She was given a very unique & special Red Doma Poncho!
On the poncho, her initials have been embroidered into the fabric.
What an amazing honor!
The Festival office building has a museum inside which features
memorabilia from the past 48 events!
Above you'll notice a special belt which is similar to the one that is awarded
yearly to the winning rider! To be awarded this belt indicates that the rider has achieved the highest level of riding skills in all of Argentina!
Dr. Patschke took a moment for this photo at the desk of the Festival President!
What will we learn about next?
You'll find out soon!
Check back often and stay connected!
